Enchanting Castle

Recently we had our "limited Edition" Castle sessions at Wancket Studios.  I  onlyset the castle up for about a week twice a year because it is 16 feet wide by 8 feet tall, so you can imagine how much space it takes up in the studio.  I try to change the castle each day to have different looks.  These portraits are great for hanging in your children's bedrooms and playroom too.

If you would like to be notified the next time we are scheduling castle sessions, give me a call or email and I will put you on the contact list.  You will be contacted before we send out the advertisement and have first choice of appointment times.

Brainstorming

I was on my weekly visit to Costco (and Trader Joes) recently, where I wanted to look for a new paperback book to read.  I was browsing the book section when I came across "Power Brainstorming, Great Ideas at Lightning Speed" by Hazel Wagner PhD.  Why is this exciting?  Well this book is written by my mother.  (and the Image of her on the front was taken by me)

It is an excellent book that can help any person, with any sort of profession, learn more about brainstorming for ideas, whether it's work related or in general.  I have a copy that I would be happy to lend to anyone, or just stop by Costco and pick one up.

There are times when I am amazed at my clients, friends and family for their accomplishments.  I am fortunate to do something that lets me spend quality time with people, getting to know the stories of their lives.

Senior Portrait Season

Recent Seniors from the Class of 2010

It is that time of year for the Class of 2011.  For most schools, Senior Portraits are taken the summer before senior year.  Many schools have contracts with a "School Photography" company that will require that the yearbook image be taken by them.  Remember,  you have a choice to go elsewhere for your purchased portraits.

I would be happy to show you the studio and our senior portrait work before you make a decision.  There is a difference.

What are the differences?

Here are just a few:

Consultations to help you plan your session and get the most original images that reflect you, not the same images that everyone else has.

Unlimited clothing changes.

Time for you to change hair styles so every image is not the same.

and most important-a photographer that knows how to light and from what angles to photograph a subject to show their best features. A photographer that understands the little details make the difference.

I would love to photograph you!

Dog, Cat and Horse days of Summer

We sure did not waste any time getting to summer...But that is ok with me.  I love summer at the studio.  It means wildflower sessions.  This year it also means "Don't Forget about the four legged members of your families.

Anyone that has been to the studio, knows that we love animals and adding your animals to your portraits.  To encourage you to add  your pets this summer, each month we are picking a charity that helps animals in need.  Any session that we photograph in the month of June with a pet or of a pet, we are donating $25 to Helping Paws.    We are fortunate to be working with Natures Feed of Spring Grove in fundraising efforts.  Natures Feed has community days on the first Saturday of every month where they raise money for causes in the community.  This shop is amazing and I encourage you to visit their website and store when in town.

I would love to photograph your loved animals as portraits by themselves or with you or your children.  Call me with any questions,

Audrey

The fight against Breast Cancer

I want to share with you an amazing Friend.  Carole is a breast cancer survivor.  Not only a survivor but an inspiration as well.  While going through treatments and surgeries this past year, she focused on raising money for the cure.  Her positive attitude was inspiring.  She is hosting a fundraising event here in Spring Grove.  Join the fun while helping the fight against Breast Cancer...  click here to follow Carole's progress in raising money for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure walk.

For our little horse lovers...

Lightning and Savannah

Anyone that has visited my studio knows I am an animal lover.  I love how many children ask to ride my horses... I learned to ride when I was 5 years old and have been in love with horses ever since.  I attended horsmanship camps for several years as a child.

I wanted to let you know that there is a wonderful barn called Meadowsweet Ranch located a few minutes from my studio that has camps for children.  There is a pony camp for the 4-6 year olds and a day camp for the children 7-12.

One of my beliefs when it comes to riding horses is the mutual love and respect that is shared between horse and rider.  Kathy will give your children an experience that will teach more than just how to ride.

Happy Trails!

Audrey

p.s. There is a new baby horse (colt) that I would love to show you if you're visiting the studio this summer.
